ACS Student Chapter Award

Purdue Chemistry’s American Chemical Society (ACS) student chapter has been selected to receive an Honorable Mention Award for its activities conducted during the 2017-2018 academic year.
In a letter sent to Department Head Christine Hrycyna and Purdue President Mitch Daniels, ACS President Peter K. Dorhout noted that chapter advisor Beatriz Cisneros deserves special commendation for her “great commitment of time and energy that a successful chapter requires.”
The letter congratulates our students and Cisneros “for setting such a fine example for other chapters and being exemplary chemistry ambassadors!”
The award winning chapters will be honored at the 257th ACS National Meeting in Orlando, FL in April.
